Janet Wilkins How Did I Complete My Thesis Writing…

It was such an embarrassing situation for me when I had to finish my college thesis writing and I was not getting enough time to understand thesis paper writing guidelines, and I wasn’t getting enough thesis writing help. It was torturing to see others celebrating the success of their college thesis paper leaving me behind. Well, I never lost hope and I once thought of getting my thesis paper written by online thesis writing service. I… Continue

Luz Sinatra The Clothing Project // 'The Story Behind it' or 'How it brought me back from total lack of self-confidence'.

Hi there! I’m Luz Sinatra and I happen to be the recipient of this crazy and lovely idea, which is The Clothing Project. So let me tell you briefly how I got to this point of no return where I MUST share this transformational tool with the rest of world, no matter what. When I was a teenager, the odyssey of cruising through endless stores trying to find something that would match my high expectations of what a piece of clothing should make me feel like was a torture I couldn’t bear. So it was… Continue

Luz Sinatra The Clothing Project // Vision and Purpose

Objectives of The Project: • Bringing balance to the Feminine/Masculine energies on Earth. By offering a transformational clothing tool that brings forth the Feminine aspect in women while emphasizing sharing and cooperation, a global increase of the integrating and nurturing Female Archetype will inevitably counteract the destructive effects of the individualistic and warring Male Archetype on Earth. • Helping raise global harmony through self-image awareness. By learning about the inter… Continue

koko Some tips to make a well run Sew-Op..

In the process of my day I realize how efficient some things can be if implemented in a timely matter and want to share some pointers.. Always write things down like what works and what changes need to be made. 1. Draw out the space ( allow for the proper power outlets to be available) 2. Keep some inventory from the beginning especially for tools and Machines 3. Start a task list and post it to create community involvement. 4. Use the Website!! for yourselves and the community actions Ask for t… Continue

koko Walking for the journey....

Just the other day I was taking sometime for myself and it took me quite a while to leave the house. I did leave comfortably, without rush and started my daily walk to the studio. I come to a truck that a woman and 2 men where loading, I see the outfit is Salvation Army and I walk away. I look back and see the woman then I turn around and ask her if she has anything sewing related she might want to donate to a local sewing collective? She says yes and has the guys take some stuff off the truck..… Continue

Katie Sewing in Austin

So, some content.... I took up sewing about a year ago. My mom never really taught me any more than fixing buttons and hems so this whole world of making my own clothes was pretty foreign to me. And then I met Alex. He's way more domestic than me as far as baking bread and making pasta from scratch. He's also pretty skilled at sewing. He applies it to outdoor gear more though. He made the covering tarp for our tensegrity structure with radiant barrier quilted between two layers of rip stop nylon… Continue

koko Community Gatherings...

In Dominical Costa Rica, there is a great place called Bamboo Yoga, which is run by a good friend Sofiah Thom. There are scheduled classes and a store which sells some yoga gear. In this store a local business brought in some recycled handbags, sash bags and pocket belts all made from Recycled jeans and Guatemalan fabrics. In my travels to Santa Theresa I heard of a farmers market on Sundays in a town called playa Carmen. There many people gathered but were only a few vendors and among them I fo… Continue

koko Muddy Waters of the Mission to the Sunny Jungles of Costa Rica

Sitting here at Muddy Waters here on Valencia compiling all the data I can for this project SO (sew-op). This new site helps a lot. Just the look and feel helps me feel connected. I am learning how to work with the site as well which might take a little time. So most importantly I wanted to use this entry as a list for the things to come. Create space for all the transfer of past data Revise the memberships offering clear understanding of status and fees Create the "craigslist interface" for for… Continue
