Get involved

This site is self explanatory and getting involved is as easy as signing up. Read over all of what is here, especially the membership pages. When you create your membership offer all the info you have about yourself that will give everyone a good idea why you are a member. Some highlights are adding pictures of what you make or if you want some one to make you something, provide and example pic. Join a group or as many as cities/towns you travel to. If you do not see a group that suites you make it and stick to the theme of Naming a SO if you are setting up a city for the first time. Beyond General Memberships and participating in starting a new group near you the SO needs people with leadership skills in every area possible. Getting members together and instituting gatherings and Classes are just a couple things that are huge in making a new location successful. If you want to Teach, organize that by town and post your ideas, schedules and any other helpful hints as to what will be the curriculum. Donations of time, space, materials or monetary offerings are undoubtedly the most effective way for any organization to build coalitions and the SO has these initiatives build in its success.
