Announcing the Sew-Op Amoeba!!
So after some down time the sew-op is once again up, running and functional at its new home in the south loop at TransAmoeba studios.
We have sewing, surging, screenprinting, aribrushing and lots of good energy. There are tons of fabrics and old clothing up for grabs to create with and if you have an image in print or on a disk we can put it on a heat transfer for you to put on your fabulous clothing. If you are looking to connect with a sewing situation in Chicago we are around on Sundays (12-6pm) with more open studio times to be announced. Feel free to contact Shorty (shortybell@gmail.com) for more info. Sew On! :)

Hello! A while ago (last summer) I met a neat girl at a party who was telling me about the chicago sew op. I searched the internet but couldn't really get a lot of information about it. Are you guys still active? I'd really love any information anyone is willing to send me about it. My email is jessica.lukac@gmail.com. I wanna join you!!

Hey guys...
So I know its taken me way too long to get myself a presence on this here site but here I am! Been working on setting up a little sewing studio here at TransAmoeba and it is coming along nicely. :) Did we ever decide if we were able to get together to work at ECO? If not anyone is welcome over here to make use of what resources I have which include tons of recycled fabric and clothing, one sewing machine, one surger, one airbrush and I will have screen printing capabilities in the next week or two... Cheers!!!

I have a couple of projects that I'd like to start new to this site. If someone could tell me what who where and when I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Its been a while Koko, and we have much to discuss. I don't have much free time to volunteer, but if I can relieve any stress or help answer any questions, let me know

Jim, Justine and Devin, just check in with the ECO and line up a time and date. You know the drill over there and everything you need is accessible, ready to go!
let me know if you need anything, oh yea there are a few things down at OCE.

Ok everyone Thanks for chiming in..
I think that the SO at ECO could be available. Devin,Justine and Jim, you all have a really good idea of how that location works so please just check in with the house and move forward. There are some tools still over at OCE and the rest shall return form Reno some time soon too. Just agree on a time and post it. Let me know if you need anything...

I am here to help Project, Manifest, and Generate. I'm pretty sure the idea behind this project is a "co-op" thingee so I'm here to help with a co-operation... so if we can organize ourselves and help move this forward step by step, in a systematic earthy non-hasty fashion, I am here to jump on board.

I want to sew and make clothing for life and for the burn next year, I also want to give back and complete the circulation... so perhaps we can discuss an overall plan to move the Chicago Sew-Op forward a bit? How's about when we meet up next Wednesday to sew? We can sew and then meet for a bit and then sew again to break up monotony.
